Most freight dispatch software was designed twenty years ago and shows it. We build and operate Tandem — a TMS where rate cons become loads by email, the board tracks every truck live, drivers text in their paperwork, and billing waits for verified documents. Use it, or have us build dispatch software that’s yours.
A dispatcher doesn’t need forty columns — they need to know which loads can be ignored and which need a decision right now. Tandem’s operations board shows every active load with its live GPS position, an HOS-aware ETA to the next stop, and margin in the same row. Healthy loads stay quiet. A truck drifting off corridor or burning detention rises to the top.

Dispatch automation starts at intake, because intake is where the double entry lives. Every rate confirmation gets keyed into the TMS by hand at most shops — stops, references, rates, equipment. In Tandem, you forward the email; the AI drafts the load; a dispatcher approves it. The person stays in charge of what enters the operation, and stops being the typist.
Rate con attached for the Thursday reefer load. Please confirm the 6:00 AM pickup window and send tracking once your driver is rolling.
Driver apps fail for a boring reason: drivers don’t install them. Tandem sends dispatch details and a one-tap upload link over SMS. The BOL photo files itself to the load, gets compared against the rate con automatically, and a person rules on any discrepancy before billing. Invoices go out with verified paperwork attached — which is why they get paid on the first try.
For carriers, dispatch services, and brokerages around 5–50 trucks who want modern dispatch software without a software project: self-serve signup, a 14-day free trial, flat monthly pricing, and your operation on the board the same week. Samsara telematics, Stripe payments, factoring workflows, and the AI intake shown above are built in. Start at runtandem.app.
For operations whose workflow doesn’t fit anyone’s TMS: freight brokerages with agent networks, drayage and intermodal operators, private fleets with unusual tendering, teams that need deep ERP integration. We’ve built these for a decade — LoadQuesthas run a national brokerage’s dispatch, accounting, and driver app for years. Fixed-scope 12-week builds, production from day one.
We sell both answers, so you get an honest one. A well-run 15-truck fleet rarely needs custom software; a brokerage doing something structurally unusual rarely thrives on an off-the-shelf TMS. Five minutes on the phone usually settles which one you are.
Sytepoint is the engineering company behind Tandem. We’ve shipped freight brokerage platforms, BOL and POD verification systems, document automation for transportation, and the human-in-the-loop AI architecture Tandem runs on. The full story — including what we build custom and how engagements work — lives on the logistics practice page and the Tandem product page.
Both. Tandem runs in carrier mode and broker mode — broker tenants additionally get carrier settlements (AP) and margin views. Small asset fleets, dispatch services, and brokerages in the 5–50 truck range are the sweet spot. Larger or unusual operations are usually better served by custom-built dispatch software, which is the other half of our practice.
Your company gets a private inbound email address. Forward a rate confirmation to it and the system reads the PDF and drafts the load — stops, references, equipment, rate. A dispatcher reviews and confirms before the load goes live, and corrections train the extractor on your lanes and brokers. The AI never creates operational facts on its own.
No. Drivers interact entirely over SMS: they receive dispatch details by text and upload BOL/POD photos through a one-tap link from their phone camera. Paperwork files itself to the right load. No app store, no logins, no training.
Tandem connects to Samsara per company, so the board shows each truck's live position, an HOS-aware ETA to the next stop, and geofence-driven status updates — arrived, loaded, departed — without check calls. Customers get a sessionless tracking link with the ETA and timeline, and none of your money data.
Yes. Delivered loads become invoices with the verified BOL and POD attached, payable by Stripe link or sent to your factoring company as a complete packet. Broker tenants also run carrier settlements. Everything reconciles in one cash ledger.
Tandem is a flat monthly subscription with a self-serve 14-day free trial — no per-truck pricing, no implementation fee. Custom dispatch software is scoped per project; see how build engagements work.
When the workflow is your competitive advantage: unusual freight, agent networks, deep ERP or customer integrations, or volume that justifies owning the system. That's how LoadQuest got built for a national brokerage. If a well-designed TMS fits, use one — we'll tell you which honestly, because we sell both answers.
Yes — accounting and ERP integrations are core to our custom logistics work: QuickBooks, factoring platforms, EDI tendering, and customer portals. If you're evaluating Tandem and need an integration it doesn't have yet, that conversation is worth having early. Start with our logistics practice.
